Ask It: The Question That Will Revolutionize How You Make Decisions

January 22
Decision-making is an every day part of life.  We must make choices whether we want to or not.  Even choosing not to make a decision is a decision within itself. How do you make confident decisions?
Ask It: The Question That Will Revolutionize How You Make Decision was a perfect book choice for me, Ms. Indecisive.  I have trouble making some decisions.  I second guess myself.  So, I picked up the book and began reading.  My first thought was how can this guy write a book over one question?  Just tell me what the question is so I can get on with my decision-making.  Well, you and I need the background to this question. Without the background, it’ll become just another question that gets left unasked, or so you think.  The question itself is a powerful one.  It’s even more powerful having read the book.

So, what is the question?
If I told you you probably wouldn’t read the book.  Like I said, you need to read the book.  You may already be asking yourself this question.  If so, then you probably are not second guessing your decisions or feeling regretful about them.
Looking back at some of my decisions, I would have made different decisions had I asked this question.  I can even think of some decisions that I thought may not be good ones at the time but I made them anyway.  I can’t go backward and change those decisions, but I can go forward with better decision-making skills.
The book includes a study guide that walks you through self-evaluation and application of the book.  I am ready to begin making more confident decisions knowing that they are formed from asking an all important question.
I’ve read another one of Mr. Andy Stanley’s books and he is becoming one of my favorite authors.
About the Book

In Ask It, Andy Stanley identifies the one question that makes it easy to determine the answer to all other questions. You’ll learn how to make decisions with confidence simply by applying the question that brings clarity to life’s most challenging decisions.

I’ve been really trying to apply the question to my decision process. It is quite helpful. Have you had a chance to read the book?
