I found another story to read to my little guy. The author was generous to send me a complimentary copy, plus a few more for a giveaway.
This is a cute story of an owl’s day spent in the garden. It takes the reader through the process of having a garden, collecting the tools and supplies, making the garden, then sharing it with others. My 4-year-old enjoyed the story as well as the vividly illustrated pages. We talked about the importance of working hard so that we could enjoy the results, as well as sharing our joy (and home) with others. We were also able to include some color recognition and counting as we looked at all the beautiful flowers in the owl’s garden.
We have added it to our book collection so that I can read it to him again and again until he is ready to read it to me.
