Faithful Finish Lines – Week 3 #faithfulfinishlines

January 24

Faithful Finish Lines - Week 3 of the faith and fitness program that helps you with setting goals for healthy eating and fitness.

Remember my January goal for stronger legs via squats and lunges.  Guess how many I’ve done this month?  I’ve done none whatsoever until today.  I decided to see how many squats I could do.  I did 30!  I could’ve went further but I had a little guy who imitated me doing his version of squats up for the first 20 or so, then he started crawling under my legs making me lose my balance.  We don’t want a hurt kiddos, do we?  Actually that really isn’t a valid excuse.  Tomorrow when I do more squats I won’t let him stop me.  Only a burn in my legs will be permission to stop and only after I have done 10 squats past the burn.  That sounds fair and doable.  Now about those lunges… I have them on my to do list.

I did have to look up how to do a squat because I needed a refresher.  I tried doing them from memory and my knees started cracking.  (I was doing them wrong!)  Watch this video for the correct form for squatting.

I’m in my third week with Faithful Finish Lines.  {Read my journey during weeks one and two.}It’s a great group of support and motivation that isn’t too fast for this busy girl. Give it a try if you are interested in setting healthy goals and receiving support and encouragement from a group who put their faith in Christ.

*Disclaimer: I was given free access to the Faithful Finish Lines program in exchange for blogging about my experience. I am not receiving payment of any other form and the opinions are mine alone.

I like the apps with the challenges, you start out with a smaller number but you do squats almost every day, in 30 days you do like 100! It builds it up slowly.
