Monthly Book Roundup - thismomsdelight - January

January Post Wrap-Up: Goals, Books, Peanut Butter & Chocolate!

It’s the last day of January.  I had a pretty decent month. How was your month?

I was blessed with a new job to help pay off some old bills. I mostly blogged about goals and books this month.  I hope to write more in February about the trials and blessings of having teenagers and toddlers.  They are my inspiration, you know!

Did you miss anything this month?  It’s all wrapped up here for you!  Tell me what your favorite post was for January!

January Post Wrap Up |

I’ve finished one of the two books mentioned in my Monthly Book Roundup.  The book Ask It: The Question That Will Revolutionize How You Make Decisions is definitely a recommended read!   I asked for your input on books to read and now have added the following books to my wishlist:

  • The Miniaturist – Thanks to Jill for recommending this book.
  • How to Have a Green Thumb Without an Aching Back by Ruth StoutThanks to Marie!

I’ve also added an author to my wishlist — Kevin Milne — thanks to Bonnie!

Living a Life I Love in 2015 | January Post Wrap Up |

A lot of inspiration and goal setting happened among the 60 participants in the Your 2015 New Year’s Resolutions Link Up.  Among them were my goals for stronger legs and better communication skills during the month of January as I commit to Living a Life I Love in 2015.

I’ve been participating in a 7-week faith and fitness program called Faithful Finish Lines.  It helps with setting goals for healthy eating and fitness. This program is not one that requires a tough first day.  The mentors here ease you into the changes needed for the goal you are reaching.  I like that.  Be sure to see my journey in this program during so far:  Week One {getting started} Week Two {spiritually grounded}, Week Three {correct form for doing squats} and Week Four {caffeine and squats}.
Literacy Musing Mondays | January Post Wrap-Up |

I love–love–love books!  I was invited to co-host Literacy Musing Mondays recently!  It is a great way to feed my addiction to books and read other bloggers’ book-related writings!  I have found so many more books to add to my wishlist!  You know you want to join in!

Do you like peanut butter and chocolate?  Just for fun, I recently wrote about the yummy combination.

*Disclaimer: I was given free access to the Faithful Finish Lines program in exchange for blogging about my experience. I am not receiving payment of any other form and the opinions are mine alone.  Affiliate links are included throughout this post for FFL and books.

Tell me, what did you enjoying reading most at

  1. Peanut butter and chocolate is one of the best combinations known to man. Well, that and Nutella with ANYTHING.

  2. Can you believe I don’t like peanut butter? Chocolate though, that’s a whole different story!

  3. Right now, I’m reading “Too Small to Ignore” by Dr. Wess Stafford. I hardly ever started. I think I’m still in page 4 or something. I’m excited to browse your blog because most of my reading options come from blogs I read. It’s like having someone tell me what’s good before I buy the book and flip the pages..

  5. OK I’m going to be the weirdo here and say I don’t really like chocolate lol…. My hubby and daughter however… Omg… They would live on peanut butter and chocolate if you let them 😉

  6. I love Peanut Butter and Chocolate. I think my hubby loves it more then me though lol. Great post.

  7. You had a great start to the year, and I wish you much success with your goals. I love chocolate and peanut butter but separately. 🙂
