As a child, I struggled with my feelings. Knowing that Jesus was the one reason to have joy would have made all the difference. For some reason, I thought suffering also meant misery. I would have benefited had I received the complimentary copy of the book below as a child.
Knowing ahead of time that Sarah Young, the author, hasn’t had an easy life, will the reader appreciate that joy can come regardless of your circumstances. While this book is meant for older kiddos, I can’t wait until my son can read this devotion for himself. Until then, I can easily adapt the messages of joy into short talks about how Jesus brings us all joy.
I love the boldly colored pages. It is appealing to the eye and will help your child stay focused on the message on each page. I also love the Scripture is provided throughout the book; it is a great prompt for Bible memorization.
The author has an adult version of the book that I can’t wait to get my hands. Have you read it?
