Literacy Musing Mondays: Fall Books

October 2

Now on to our weekly Literacy Musing Monday’s linkup where we link up posts about what inspires you in reading, writing, blogging, and even share our written Bible devotions.

First, some brief announcements. Gayl Wright has left us as a host. We all will miss her, but she wanted to focus on her writing on her blog. We are keeping her on the host graphic for just a few weeks (until I can find time to do a new one.) In the meantime, be sure to use her links and visit her and tell her much you appreciated her as a host.

Would you like to host the #LMMLinkup? We will have more about this opportunity in the weeks to come. In the meantime, you can contact any of us to let us know your interests. My email is marykatbpcsc45 @ gmail(dot)com. Leslie’s is theforeverjoyfulhomeschool @ gmail(dot)com, and Tami’s is thismomsdelight @ gmail(dot)com. We would love to hear from you if you are interested. Keep in mind that although this is a linkup about books and literature, that we welcome Christian bloggers’ posts related to learning and devotions. Also please read the rules below to understand more about our hop.

Now on to our linkup. Let’s

Sometimes We Want Results Now…and That’s Not How Parenting Always Works

by Suzanna at Wonder-filled Days

Everyone, myself included, seems to expect an instant fix to a problem. So, this is an encouragement to me as a mother.  I know the title sounds far from encouraging, but read to the end. Fill up on this central truth, “By ourselves, we are not mom enough, but with God, we can do all things.”

My Favorite Post of the Week:

My Favorite #LMMLinkup Post: Fun Fall Kids' Books

Fun Fall Kids’ Books

by Leah at As We Walk Along the Road

This week’s selection combines my favorite season and my favorite activity: Fall Reading! Yay! I love the colors and cool temps in the fall. I also love to read my little guy. (I’m sure we will also play out in the leaves.)

Leah shares 15 fall books with us.  I am finding the ones I can on PaperbackSwap, then adding the rest to our wishlist for next fall.  I hope you’ll take time this week to read some fall books to your little one, if you haven’t already.  Not only is it a great learning opportunity, it’s a chance to have some one-on-one time to share some smiles.

Remember to check out other hosts’ blogs to see which posts from last week were their favorites. Want to be the next to be featured! Just link up a post and if you are read the most, we will feature you. Also please make sure you link back to us so others will know about our link up and join in. We try to make it worth your while to linkup with us by promoting your posts across our social media networks. We also pin our most clicked and featured posts to our Pinterest Board each week!

Literacy-Musing-Mondays- Family-Friendly linkup where we celebrate reading!

Linkup Rules:

  1. Include a link back or the blog hop button linked to this hop on your posts.
  2. Link up the urls to your posts not to your blog.
  3. Please remember this is a family-friendly linkup. Although we believe in the right for adults to read whatever they want to read, we prefer to read wholesome posts that feature literature that edify and uplift families. We reserve the right to delete any posts that are not family friendly. We love all kinds of literature and genres including family-friendly inspirational romances, fantasy, or science fiction. We do not welcome posts featuring books or writing with excessive violence, sexual content, or cursing. These posts will be deleted.
  4. We also want to be loving community by supporting one another. Please make a point to do this this week! Visit the two posts before yours and at least one other blogger’s post of your choice! I want to see lots of clicks on everyone’s posts. Remember it is also nice to follow them on their social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook.
  5. Follow your hosts and co-hosts on their social media.
  6. Tweet about the link up too.

Let’s Celebrate Reading and Learning together this week at Literacy Musing Mondays!Linking up with great linkups listed on my linkup resource page.
