Max Lucado's Pocket Prayers

What are pocket prayers?

According to Max Lucado, they are short, simple and effective prayers.  He has teamed up with a team of six authors to write the PocketPrayers series for those in need of peace, renewal, rest, faith, hope, joy, direction, serenity, and courage.

The books are full of these pocket prayers and complementary scripture.  There are six books, each for a specific person in mind:

  • Moms (written with daughter Andrea Lucado)
  • Grads (written with daughter Andrea Lucado)
  • Dads (written with Mark Mynheir)
  • Military Life (written with Mark Mynheir)
  • Teachers (written with blogger Jennifer Hale)
  • Friends (written with Betsy St. Amant)

About the author: Max Lucado

More than 120 million readers have found inspiration and encouragement in the writings of Max Lucado. He lives with his wife, Denalyn, and their mischievous mutt, Andy, in San Antonio, Texas, where he serves the people of Oak Hills Church.

I received these books from Litfuse Publishing in exchange for sharing with you the special people whom I’d be giving these books to. Other participants can be found on the blog tour. The one and only book that I am excited to give to someone special is the Pocket Prayers for Grads.

My son is graduating high school!

While he is not a book nerd like I am, I still think he’ll appreciate the prayers within the book.  As a young adult entering the real world, he will be glad to have helpful prayer prompts when he is facing new challenges.

What about the rest of the books?

While my mom and dad are special people, they just aren’t book people. I’ve given them books before, only to find them unopened and not treasured like I would treasure them myself. (That hurts a book enthusiast! You know what I mean?!?)

There there are military families, teachers and friends that I could give a copy of the Pocket Prayers to, yet I find myself wanting to share with you!  So, I will be giving away one of the Prayer Pockets books {your choice} to one of you. (The only exclusion is the Grad Pocket Prayers.)

So, which would you like to have?  Enter the giveaway, then scroll further down for a giveaway being offered by Max Lucado for a Pocket Prayers Prize Pack.
