I know I have an anger problem. Okay, I am jealous if you ask my husband. Oh, and my mirror will tell you I have a gluttony problem. So, maybe I should look at those and the others listed a little more carefully.

I love a Bible study that encourages me to look up Scripture, especially on real life issues. The Bible study I recently finished helped me realize and begin to battle my destructive temptations, like the ones I mentioned above.
Reading the Scripture on every single one of the temptations above truly opened my eyes to how each of these are in my life. The study helped me apply the Scriptures, so that I could begin to grow in Christian maturity and say no to these temptations.
What I liked best about this Bible study:
- The Scripture verses were included in the text of the book. I would prefer KJV. The translation included in this book is NASB.
- Room is available to write your answers in the book. You could also write them in a journal or notebook.
- The Discuss and Observe sections to prompt you to really give thought to what you’re reading, as well as talking it over, even if the discussion group you’re in only consists of you and the Lord.
- It’s not packed full of the author’s own opinion. It’s made where you read the Scripture and allow the Holy Spirit to show you what you need to work on.
