Max On Life: Answers and Inspiration for Today’s Questions

Do you have questions about your spiritual walk?
Do you have questions about every day decisions that aren’t clearly laid on in Scripture?

Max Lucado offers guidance on every day questions, some too embarrassing to ask just anybody.

Hurt, Conflicts, Church, Sex, Second Chances, Disagreements, Work, and the Hereafter are just a handful of the topics included in this book. Read the first 18 question and answer combinations that Max discusses in his book.

The answers provided are biblically-based for the most part. However on a few of the questions, I would’ve answered differently. More Scripture reference to back up each answer would’ve made the book more reliable and sound, in my opinion.

Overall, I enjoyed the book and agreed with a lot of it, having previously studied the subject matters.

The sections and question headings makes it user-friendly for the person seeking out some guidance on a particular problem or need in his or her life.

Book Description

We have questions. Child-like inquiries. And deep, heavy ones.

In more than twenty-five years of writing and ministry, Max Lucado has been the receiving line for thousands of such questions. The questions come in letters, e-mails, even on Dunkin Donuts napkins. In Max on Life he offers thoughtful answers to more than 150 of the most pressing questions on topics ranging from hope to hurt, from home to the hereafter.

Max writes about the role of prayer, the purpose of pain, and the reason for our ultimate hope. He responds to the day-to-day questions—parenting quandaries, financial challenges, difficult relationships—as well as to the profound: Is God really listening?

A special addendum includes Max’s advice on writing and publishing.

Including topical and scriptural indexes and filled with classic Lucado encouragement and insight, Max on Life will quickly become a favorite resource for pastors and ministry leaders as well as new and mature believers.
