I recently read Hearts Awakening by Delia Parr. The book is one of my favorites. Out comes another fantastic read by the same author, titled Love’s First Bloom. I will be reading more books by Delia Parr, even if I have to spend a little of my own cash!
In this story, the main character had nobody that she could confide in. Nobody to tell her secrets to. She wanted to reach out to someone, but was there anyone within reach that could be trusted? The only trustworthy resource she had was God. Would she trust in His timing?
This story, although made up, because–you know–it’s fiction, is filled with lessons to be learned by the readers (that’s you and me). This girl was loyal to her mission to obey her father and patiently care for a stranger’s child. I need to be more like Ruth in her earthly relationships, without the secrets, of course!
