I was overweight when I got pregnant.
I lost weight while I was pregnant.
I’ve gained 10+ ponds since my six week postpartum checkup. {Baby is 6 1/2 months old.}
Do the math {or use your common sense, Tami} and you’ll discover the key to weight loss.
Just stay pregnant!

Just kidding!
While I was pregnant, I was told I had gestational diabetes. That meant I had to monitor my blood sugar to protect the baby from complications like underdeveloped lungs and diabetic problems–even stillbirth was a concern.
So, this scared momma ate healthy to help control the blood sugar. I ate less junky carbs and more veggies. I also gave up the carbonated sweet beverages (pop).
Since Baby A. has been born, I’ve started back up the pop and sugary sweets . Bad momma!
So, I’ve learned my lesson and want to use the summer to get a jump start on weight loss.
My plan is to:
- Cut out the sugary drinks and snacks
- Drink more water
- Walk every non-church day (giving me 2 days off)I’ve joined a weight loss challenge to lose 4% of my body weight. If I do GREAT! If I don’t, I will still be proud of making healthier decisions!
