I am not a huge fan of daily devotionals. I’d rather read the Bible directly or read on a topic that is currently interesting to me. Being a fan of the author writing the complimentary copy of the book below, I chose to read it anyway. I actually enjoyed and much needed the devotionals I read in this book.
Why the first sections of the book, ritual, was quite touching to my heart, I really needed to read the second and third sections most of all. I’m not sure which helped the most: relationships or rest.
The author’s transparency in her own reality of being a mom was very helpful to this struggling mom. The reflection questions were wonderful prompts in helping me get real with God about the above areas.
It is a book I will be sharing with friends and family. However, I am keeping my copy to read again next Christmas.
