2015 This Is My Life Planner

December 18

I have previewed so many life planners over the past few months trying to find one that fits me. I haven’t found one that fits all my roles but I have found a few that come close.  Today, I am reviewing a planner that is geared toward home keeping and family goals.

It is the “This Is My Life” Planner designed by Melissa Ringstaff.  Here’s what I love about it:

The Colors

The planner consists of the rainbow when it comes to colors.  It is bright and beautiful to the eye. Yet, the colors aren’t so bold that you’ll use up your ink supply printing it.  (It also comes in black and white, if you want to save on ink.)

Goal Planning Forms

2015 This Is My Life Planner ReviewThe planner starts of with a place to write your Family Mission Statement for the year along with questions to ask that will help you brainstorm the importance of home and what you plan to accomplish this coming year, along with a page for recording your One Word, describing your goals for the year.  I used the Time Tracking form to see how much time I waste on Facebook.  It was mind-blowing (or was I just playing dumb so that I could continue in this mindless activity?)  Now, I can redirect that time toward the New Year Resolutions I made a list of in my planner.

Weekly Pages and Menus

2015 This Is My Life Planner ReviewI do hope that in the future, these planners come customized for the different roles moms play, including that of working mom as well as health and fitness pages. This particular planner has a checklist of household chores that you mark complete as you do them.  I hadn’t planned on including these on my to do list, but this planner has changed my mind. Why? Because these are things that make my home more cozy (tidying and making the bed), as well as things that need to be done or I leave the house wearing mismatched socks.  (Yes, it bugs me to wear mismatched socks. LOL!)  I love that it has a water tracker for that long lost habit I need to pick back up. Each week is different as you are provided with weekly chores that need to be tended to either weekly or less often. Finally, there are spaces to record reminders and your morning, afternoon and evening routines.

Special Occasion Planning

Throughout the planner are pages like Winter Bucket List, Resurrection Celebration, and Thanksgiving Menu Planner.  These pages are to plan your celebrations and have some intentional fun set aside for your family.  I love these pages most!

Which Planner Did You Choose for 2015?

If you haven’t purchased a planner for 2015, I recommend this one.  It’ll guide you through deciding on goals for 2015, as well as keep your home in order throughout the year.  (Sorry, you do have to do the work unless you are a master at delegating those chores to the kiddos.)
